Credit Island Park sits on an island at Davenport's southwest edge, giving the city a rougher, quieter river landscape than the polished downtown riverfront. Trails, picnic areas, and water views make it a good breathing space.
The island also has War of 1812 associations, though the history is lightly presented. Come for the river and open space rather than a formal historic site.
