Nahant Marsh is a wetland preserve on Davenport's southwest side, with marsh, open water, bottomland forest, and wildlife habitat close to the Mississippi River. It is one of the better places near the city for a quiet walk and a look at the river valley's natural side.
The education center helps explain the ecosystem, but the main draw is the marsh itself. Bring binoculars if you like birds.
