The Mill served beer and live folk music on East Burlington Street for fifty-eight years before closing during the pandemic; in 2022 it was bought, refurbished and reopened by a group of locals. It is back as the city's principal small-venue music spot — singer-songwriters, bluegrass, the odd touring indie act — with a kitchen that does honest pub food and a long beer list.
Cover for shows is usually modest. The dimly lit front room is a fine place for a beer even on quiet weeknights.
