The closest commercial airport is Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) in Cedar Rapids, half an hour north on I-380. Chicago O'Hare is four hours east by car and is often a cheaper option for international flights; Quad City International (Moline, Illinois) is an hour east. There is no passenger rail service to Iowa City.
By car, Iowa City sits on Interstate 80 about midway between Davenport and Des Moines. The Burlington Trailways and Greyhound bus stops are on Court Street downtown.
