Distillery District

A redeveloped industrial strip on Manchester Street west of downtown, anchored by the surviving warehouses of the James E. Pepper Distillery (founded 1879, closed 1958, reopened 2017). The block now holds a working bourbon distillery, a brewpub, several restaurants, a coffee roaster, and a Saturday farmers' market. The district is walkable end to end in fifteen minutes and is the centre of contemporary Lexington nightlife. Best in the evening; the lights on the old brick warehouses are striking after dark.
