Getting Around

Louisville is a driving city. The TARC bus system covers most of the city but runs infrequently enough that it is not practical for most tourist needs. Rideshares are widely available. Bicycles work well in the Highlands, NuLu, and along the riverfront trail. The main attractions between downtown, NuLu, and the Highlands are too spread out to walk comfortably without a plan, but downtown itself is walkable — the waterfront, Whiskey Row, the Ali Center, and the Slugger Museum are all within a few blocks of each other.
