Waterfront Park is the green edge of downtown Louisville, stretching along the Ohio River with lawns, overlooks, playgrounds, walking paths, and the Big Four Bridge connection to Indiana. It is one of the easiest places in the city to understand Louisville's river setting without leaving the centre.
The park works both as a destination and as a connector. Come for a walk at sunset, rent a bike for the riverside paths, or use it as the starting point for crossing the converted railroad bridge to Jeffersonville. Festivals and concerts use the lawns, but the everyday appeal is the open river view and the sense of space.
