A barn-style Cajun restaurant on the north edge of town with live Cajun and zydeco music every night and a fourteen-foot stuffed alligator named Big Al in the lobby. Prejean's leans more touristed than the gas-station joints, but the gumbo is genuinely good and the menu covers the canon — étouffée, jambalaya, blackened fish, fried alligator.
The music starts around 7 p.m. and people get up to two-step before the entrees arrive. Worth it once if you want food and live music in one place.
