The Bridgton Public Library, formerly the Dalton Holmes Davis Memorial Library, is a handsome building at the center of town and one of the better small public libraries in western Maine. Beyond its function as a library, it serves as a community gathering point and hosts local exhibitions and events throughout the year.
The building itself is worth a look if you appreciate New England civic architecture. It sits on the same stretch of Main Street as the Webb House and the Magic Lantern, making it an easy inclusion in a downtown walk.
