Greenmount Cemetery

Greenmount Cemetery is one of Baltimore's most atmospheric historic cemeteries, with rolling grounds, Gothic chapels, old statuary, and graves tied to Maryland politics, art, and American history. John Wilkes Booth is buried here, along with several Maryland governors and members of the Walters family, whose collections helped create the Walters Art Museum.

The cemetery is quiet and best visited with a map from the office near the Oliver Street gate. Guided tours sometimes run in spring and autumn.
