Race Point Beach faces the open Atlantic at the northern tip of Cape Cod, with broad sand, rolling dunes, and a much wilder feel than Provincetown's harbour beaches. The surf can be powerful, and the horizon feels unusually open from this exposed edge of the cape.
Come for a long walk, sunset, or a day of beach time when conditions are calm. The beach is part of Cape Cod National Seashore, so facilities are seasonal and nature sets the pace; keep an eye out for seals offshore and respect any posted wildlife closures.
