Mudgie's is a Corktown deli with a long printed sandwich list, a strong beer selection, and an oddly relaxed atmosphere for a place that is usually packed. The standout is anything with house-made roast beef. The patio in summer is among the most pleasant outdoor seating in the city. They also do soups and a passable salad list for the rare sandwich-skeptic.
A short walk from Slows Bar-B-Q on Michigan Avenue, making it a reasonable alternative when the wait at Slows is too long. Lunch is busier than dinner.
