The Branson Scenic Railway runs heritage train excursions from the old downtown depot, heading into the Ozark foothills on routes that vary by operating conditions. It is one of the gentler Branson attractions, better suited to scenery than adrenaline.
The appeal is partly the vintage equipment and partly the rhythm of watching hills, woods, trestles, and small communities pass the windows. Book ahead in busy seasons, especially for themed rides.
