Getting There

Springfield-Branson National Airport (SGF) serves the city with direct flights to major hubs including Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, and Nashville. The airport is compact and easy to navigate, sitting just south of downtown.

By road, Springfield sits at the junction of I-44 (running southwest toward Tulsa and northeast toward St. Louis) and US-65 (running north toward Kansas City and south toward Branson). It is also on Historic Route 66, and the original alignment passes through the heart of the city. Driving from St. Louis takes roughly three hours; from Kansas City, about two and a half hours. Greyhound operates bus services to Springfield from St. Louis, Kansas City, and Tulsa. There is no passenger rail service to Springfield.
