Improbably for a town of fewer than a thousand people, Ennis has a serious fine-dining restaurant. The Continental Divide has been running for decades and serves a short, ambitious menu that draws on regional ingredients — locally raised lamb, Montana trout, foraged mushrooms in season — cooked with technique you would expect in a much bigger city. Reservations are essential in summer. Expect to spend US$60–80 per head with wine.
