Midwest Theater

Built in 1946, the Midwest Theater on Broadway is a well-preserved example of mid-century movie palace architecture in the Nebraska Panhandle. The building's art moderne facade and original interior fittings have been maintained, making it an attractive venue for its continued programme of films and live performances.

The theater is one of Scottsbluff's most characterful buildings and sits in the core of the downtown business district alongside the Marquis Opera House and a handful of other early 20th-century commercial buildings. It hosts the Western Nebraska Arts Center's performing arts programme and screens both current and classic films.
