Buckaroo Hall of Fame and Heritage Museum

"Buckaroo" is the northern Nevada term for the working cowboy — derived from the Spanish "vaquero" — and the Buckaroo Hall of Fame honours the riders, ropers, and ranch hands who built the great Humboldt-region cattle operations. The collection includes saddles, bridles, brands, and photographs from the late 19th century forward, with detailed biographies of inductees.

Free, small, run by volunteers. A serious museum for anyone interested in the working cowboy tradition, not a tourist re-enactment.
