Humboldt River Bridge

A three-arch concrete bridge over the Humboldt River at the foot of Bridge Street, built in 1910 — one of the oldest standing concrete arch bridges in Nevada and a quiet piece of state engineering history. The river itself, which gives Winnemucca its reason for existence, has dropped to a creek by this point in its long journey from the Ruby Mountains.

A two-minute look while crossing into the downtown grid from the south. In summer the cottonwoods along the bank are lush; in winter the river occasionally freezes around the piers.
