The bar and dining room of the Winnemucca Hotel — the oldest hotel in Nevada — serves the same Basque family-style dinner format as the Martin: a long table, a multi-course meal, pitchers of wine. It is quieter and less famous than the Martin Hotel, which means easier walk-ins and a slightly more relaxed pace.
The lamb stew (cordero) is the menu standard. The bar at the front is a piece of unrenovated 19th-century saloon architecture worth a drink before or after dinner.
