Manchester is the largest city in New Hampshire and is reasonably well connected, though most access from outside New England requires a car or a connection through Boston.
By air: Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), just south of the city center, is served by several budget and regional carriers. Fares are often lower than Logan, and security lines are substantially shorter. Car rental is straightforward from the airport; the city center is about 10 minutes by taxi or rideshare.
By road: Manchester sits on Interstate 93, which runs north from Boston (roughly 55 miles, about one hour without traffic). From the south, take Exit 6 or Exit 7. From Vermont and the west, Route 101 runs east into the city from I-89 at Concord.
By bus: Greyhound and regional coaches connect Manchester to Boston's South Station with frequent service throughout the day; the journey takes 60–90 minutes depending on traffic. Concord Coach Lines also runs express services to Logan Airport and North Station.
By rail: Manchester does not have Amtrak service. The nearest Amtrak stations are Woburn/Anderson (connecting to Boston's North Station) and Concord (served by some routes). Local bus connections run from Manchester to both.
