Prudential Center is the big modern arena that anchors much of Newark's downtown event traffic. It is best known as the home of the New Jersey Devils, but the schedule also brings concerts, college basketball, boxing, and other touring shows.
For travellers, the value depends on the calendar. With a game or concert ticket it gives you a lively reason to spend an evening in central Newark, close to Penn Station and the Ironbound's restaurants. Without an event, it is more a landmark than a place to linger.
