The fastest way in from New York is the NJ Transit Northeast Corridor line from Penn Station, around 45 minutes and running every 30 minutes for most of the day. Amtrak Northeast Regional and Acela trains also stop at New Brunswick. From Newark Liberty Airport, take the train via Newark Penn — about 30 minutes total. The city has a station of its own (see New Brunswick Station) in the middle of downtown, walking distance to most sights.
