Things to Do

For a city of 50,000, New Brunswick punches well above its weight in theatre, music, and historic buildings — a side effect of being both a Rutgers University town and a 17th-century Dutch settlement on the Raritan. The arts venues cluster around Livingston Avenue and George Street; the historic churches and houses are concentrated along Neilson Street near the old town centre.
