Poor Boy's has fed Clovis its steaks for decades, in an unprepossessing building on North Prince Street that looks more like a roadhouse than a destination. The cuts are local beef, hand-cut and grilled over open fire; the sides — baked potato, salad, rolls — are straight-line American.
A reliable place for a substantial dinner if you are passing through. The ribeye is the order; portions are large and prices are reasonable for what you get. Weekends busy with the Cannon Air Force Base crowd.
