Things to Do

Zuni is a living community, not a tourist attraction, and visitors are welcomed on those terms. Photography, access to ceremonial areas, and some parts of the pueblo may be restricted at any time — ask before assuming. That said, the pueblo actively engages with visitors through its museum, its arts community, and organised tours. Zuni jewellery — stone inlay work in turquoise, jet, coral, and shell — is some of the finest in the Southwest, and buying directly from Zuni artists supports the community directly.
