Getting There

Amtrak's Empire Service and Maple Leaf trains stop at Hudson station on their runs between New York Penn Station and Albany-Rensselaer. The journey from New York City takes around two hours, making Hudson one of the most rail-accessible small cities in the Hudson Valley. Trains run several times a day in each direction.

By car, Hudson is about two hours from New York City via the Taconic State Parkway or I-87 (New York State Thruway) to Route 23. The drive from Albany is 30–35 minutes south on I-87.

There is no commercial airport close to Hudson; Albany International Airport (ALB), about 35 miles north, is the nearest option for air travellers.
