Russ & Daughters has sold smoked fish from its shop on East Houston Street since 1914. The cafe, opened in 2014 on Orchard Street, offers a sit-down version of the same tradition: blini with caviar, bagels with various creams and salmons, borscht, and a chocolate babka that has its own reputation.
