The Burgwin-Wright Museum and Gardens is a restored 1770 town house built for merchant and planter John Burgwin. Its rooms, period furnishings, and formal gardens give a clear picture of colonial Wilmington, and the house also has Revolutionary War history: Lord Cornwallis used it as a headquarters in 1781.
