Hector International Airport (FAR) has direct flights to Minneapolis, Denver, Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, and several other hubs. Most cross-country routes require a connection. Fargo is also served by Amtrak's Empire Builder line — the train from Chicago to Seattle stops here, making it one of the few North Dakota cities with intercity rail. The drive from Minneapolis is about 3.5 hours west on I-94.
