Getting Around

Canton is a car-oriented city and a car is the most convenient way to get around. Parking downtown is generally easy and inexpensive. The main attractions — the Hall of Fame, the McKinley sites, and the downtown museums — are spread across the city and not conveniently walkable between in a single loop, though the courthouse area, Palace Theatre, and First Ladies National Historic Site are all within a short walk of each other.

SARTA (Stark Area Regional Transit Authority) operates local bus routes, but services are infrequent and not geared to visitors. Taxis and rideshares are available, and the distances between sites are short enough to make them a reasonable option.
