Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is on the west side of the city and served by most major domestic carriers. A direct train link connects the airport to Tower City downtown for a very cheap fare, making it one of the more convenient airport-to-city connections in the country. Akron-Canton Airport, about 50 miles south, is a smaller alternative served by budget carriers.
Amtrak runs trains to Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York, though departures are in the early morning hours. The station is on E. 9th Street north of the city center. Free parking is available next to the station, but it can be tricky to find even with the signs.
Greyhound operates from its station in the Theater District at E. 13th and Chester downtown. Megabus and other intercity bus services stop adjacent to Tower City on Public Square, where you can walk to restaurants and hotels or connect to the regional transit system in the lower levels of Tower City.
By car, Cleveland is at the intersection of I-90 (east-west along the lake) and I-77 (south to Akron and Canton). The Ohio Turnpike (I-80) passes just south of the city.
