Kent's dining scene is solidly college-town: affordable, casual, and concentrated along East Main Street. Most places are built around the student budget — burgers, pizza, tacos, sandwiches — but there are a handful of independent spots with more ambition. The coffee scene is genuinely good. Things thin out in summer when students leave, so some places have reduced hours or close altogether outside the academic year.
