Kent sits about 15 km east of Akron on Route 43/SR-59, and about 50 km southeast of Cleveland. Driving is by far the easiest way to arrive — northeast Ohio's public transport connections between cities are limited, and Kent has no rail service of its own.
By air: Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is the nearest major airport, roughly 50 km to the west. Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is closer but smaller, with fewer connections.
By bus: Greyhound and FlixBus serve Akron, about 15 km from Kent. From Akron you'd need a car or local bus to continue to Kent. There is no direct intercity bus service to Kent itself.
By car: From Cleveland, take I-480 east to SR-14 or SR-43 south. From Akron, take SR-59 or SR-43 east. Parking in downtown Kent and on the edges of campus is generally available, though football Saturdays are the exception.
There is no Amtrak service to Kent or the immediate area.
