Toledo Express Airport (TOL), 25 km west of downtown, has limited commercial service — mostly low-cost flights to Florida via Allegiant. For most travellers, Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), an hour's drive north, is the practical choice for a Toledo trip: it has the full range of domestic and international flights, and Lake Erie Coach runs a scheduled shuttle to and from Toledo for around 35 USD.
By car, Toledo sits at the junction of I-75 (Detroit-Cincinnati-Atlanta) and I-90 (Cleveland-Chicago). Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited and Capitol Limited both stop at the Toledo station, with overnight service to Chicago, Washington and New York, but the schedules are awkward (the eastbound trains pass through Toledo around 3 AM). Greyhound and Megabus connect to Cleveland, Detroit, Columbus and Chicago.
