Worthington's appeal is concentrated and easy to cover on foot. The historic district on High Street preserves a remarkably intact Federal-period streetscape — one of the best in Ohio — and the surrounding residential blocks hold dozens of early 19th-century homes. Beyond the downtown core, two institutions add genuine depth: the Ohio Railway Museum, which actually runs its vintage equipment, and the Pontifical College Josephinum, an anomaly in the midwest that still reports directly to Rome. Rush Creek Village, tucked away on the west side of town, offers a different kind of architectural history — a 1950s experiment in organic design that still functions as a neighbourhood.
