Antique Row

Dozens of antique dealers concentrated along Main Street — Jenks calls itself the Antique Capital of Oklahoma

The claim is not empty boasting. Jenks has accumulated several dozen antique dealers along its Main Street commercial strip, and the concentration is genuine enough that collectors make the drive from Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and occasionally from much further away. The shops range from serious dealers who specialize in American furniture, vintage jewelry, or oil-boom-era Oklahoma collectibles, to generalist junk emporiums where everything costs five dollars and finding something worthwhile requires patience.

The best approach is to walk the strip without a precise agenda. Many dealers operate out of multi-vendor malls where a single storefront contains twenty or thirty independent booths; you can cover a lot of ground quickly. Weekend mornings see the most activity and the best chance of finding a dealer who actually knows what they have. If you are after serious pieces, the smaller focused shops on the side streets are more rewarding than the big multi-dealer halls.
