Jenks punches well above its weight for a town of 10,000. The Oklahoma Aquarium is the anchor — one of the genuinely good aquariums in the southern United States, with a tank of bull sharks that stops most visitors cold. Around the aquarium, the Riverwalk Crossing development has turned the Arkansas River waterfront into a pleasant, walkable stretch of restaurants and open water views. Away from the river, the antique strip along Main Street is the other reason people make the drive from Tulsa: dozens of dealers concentrated in a few blocks, ranging from serious estate dealers to cheerful junk shops.
