Riverwalk Crossing

Pedestrian-friendly waterfront development next to the aquarium, with river views and outdoor dining

Riverwalk Crossing grew up alongside the Oklahoma Aquarium in the years after 2003, turning a stretch of the Arkansas River bank into a compact mixed-use development with restaurants, shops, a small amphitheater, and a paved riverwalk. It's not a grand waterfront — the Arkansas is a wide, shallow, sandy river at this point, and the development is modest in scale — but it's a pleasant place to walk before or after an aquarium visit.

The main draw is the outdoor seating along the river. Several restaurants have patios facing the water, and on warm evenings the stretch fills up with families from the aquarium and couples from Tulsa who have made the short drive south for dinner. A pedestrian bridge connects to the east bank in places, and the riverwalk path extends north toward the Tulsa limits. It's worth a stroll even if you're not eating.
