Most travellers arrive in Lawton by car. The city sits at the junction of I-44 and US-62, around 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City and 200 miles north of Dallas. Both interstates are good fast drives.
Lawton–Fort Sill Regional Airport (LAW) has a handful of daily flights from Dallas/Fort Worth on regional jets; most international travellers find it easier to fly into Oklahoma City (OKC) or Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) and drive. Greyhound buses also stop in Lawton on the OKC–Dallas route.
