A two-storey covered market on the north edge of downtown, in what was originally a 1929 chicken-processing warehouse. The conversion has been done well — exposed brick, a central courtyard with a fountain, indoor seating around the food vendors.
The mix is upmarket for Eugene: boutiques, a high-end kitchen shop, two of the city's better restaurants (Marché for French; Cafe Soriah for Mediterranean), a small wine bar, ice cream, a cheese shop. The adjacent 5th Street Public Market Alley has more food. Reliable lunch stop if you want to eat well and not think too hard.
