By air. Eugene Airport (EUG), 15 minutes northwest of downtown, has direct flights from a dozen West Coast and Mountain West cities — convenient enough that PDX (Portland) is rarely necessary. Rideshares run about $25 to downtown; the LTD bus 99 is a cheap option.
By car. Eugene is on I-5, two hours south of Portland and four hours north of the Bay Area. Highway 126 east leads up the McKenzie River valley toward the Cascades; Highway 126 west crosses the Coast Range to the coast at Florence.
By rail. Amtrak's Coast Starlight (LA–Seattle) and Cascades (Eugene–Vancouver BC) both stop at the downtown station at 4th and Willamette — a five-minute walk from Saturday Market. The trip from Portland is around 2½ hours.
By bus. FlixBus and Greyhound run frequent service to Portland, Seattle, and points south. Local LTD buses run from the downtown Eugene Station.
