Nay Aug Park

Nay Aug Park is Scranton's principal city park, occupying 35 hectares of wooded ridge above the Roaring Brook gorge on the city's east side. It has a deep slate canyon with a waterfall, picnic groves, a small zoo, and a Nay Aug Park Treehouse — a glass-fronted box cantilevered out over the gorge, free to walk into.

The park is best in autumn, when the hillside turns red and orange and the gorge is at its most photogenic. The Everhart Museum sits inside the park boundary, and the David Wenzel Treehouse is one of the few public treehouses certified to ADA standards in the United States. Parking is free and there is a small visitor centre.
