George's of Galilee

Old-school waterside seafood restaurant in Galilee since 1948

George's has anchored Galilee's small commercial drag since 1948 — a sprawling family seafood restaurant on the waterfront with an upstairs raw bar, an outdoor deck and ferry-watching tables overlooking the channel. The menu is unapologetically Rhode Island: stuffies, fried clams with bellies, clear-broth Rhode Island chowder, baked stuffed lobster.

It is not a place for quiet dining — summer service is high-volume, the line for a deck table forms early — but the location is unbeatable, the portions are large, and the food is reliably good. Across the parking lot is the cheaper takeaway window, perfect for a clam roll on the seawall.
