Getting There

By air: Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is the main gateway, located about 20 miles east of downtown on I-85. It has direct flights to major hubs including Atlanta, Charlotte, New York, and Chicago. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is about 90 miles away and has a much broader range of connections — many travellers fly into Charlotte and drive, which takes roughly 90 minutes.

By car: Greenville sits on I-85, the main artery connecting Atlanta (2.5 hours south) and Charlotte (90 minutes northeast). US-276 runs north into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Parking downtown is easy and largely free in several city-owned garages on weekends.

By bus: Greyhound serves Greenville with connections to Charlotte, Atlanta, and Columbia. The bus station is not in the downtown core.

By train: There is no Amtrak service directly to Greenville. The nearest Amtrak station is in Spartanburg, about 30 miles east, on the Crescent line between New York and New Orleans.
