Greenville County Museum of Art

One of the strongest regional art museums in the South, with a collection that leans heavily on American work and particularly excels in Southern American art. The museum holds the world's largest public collection of watercolours by Andrew Wyeth, and the permanent galleries also include significant works by Jasper Johns, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Jamie Wyeth. Admission is free, which makes it an easy stop even for visitors with limited time. The museum is in the Cultural Arts District on Main Street, a short walk north of the downtown core.
