The Riverwalk runs along both banks of the river for around 16 continuous miles, from the Chickamauga Dam in the east to the new South Broad section in the west. It links the aquarium, Coolidge Park, the Hunter Museum bluff, the AT&T Field baseball stadium, and dozens of small parks.
It is the easiest way to see the city's waterfront geography in a single morning. Bike rentals (including the Bike Chattanooga bike-share) are widely available downtown. The eastern section under the Chickamauga Dam is a favourite spot for kayak and standup-paddle put-ins.
