The Schoolhouse building, just inside the entry to the village, is the starting point for any visit: tickets to the guided tour, a small museum on the rise and fall of the colony, and a gift shop that doubles as Rugby's only bookshop. The friendly volunteers running it are the colony's institutional memory.
The walking tour from here covers Christ Church, the library, Kingstone Lisle, and several other restored buildings. Allow two hours for the full circuit. Open daily from spring through autumn, weekends only in winter.
