Rugby's draw is the village itself — a streetscape of seventeen surviving Victorian buildings strung out along an unpaved lane on the Cumberland Plateau. Walk the loop, take a tour through the church and the library, then push on into the Big South Fork country that surrounds the town for the trail system, the bluffs, and the river. A long weekend covers everything.
