The de facto social hub of Sewanee, Stirling's is a campus coffee house in the university's student centre on University Avenue. Good espresso drinks, light food, and the relaxed atmosphere of a college café that happens to be in one of the prettier spots in Tennessee. Tables on the porch fill up quickly on mild days.
The adjacent Sewanee bookstore is worth browsing for literary fiction, local interest titles, and a well-curated general selection. Combined, the two make a natural first stop on any Sewanee visit.
