Sewanee's appeal is split evenly between the campus itself and the wild plateau surrounding it. The University of the South offers Gothic architecture and a peaceful academic atmosphere; the Domain's trails, overlooks, waterfalls, and natural features make this one of the better hiking destinations in the mid-South. You don't need to be a student or an alum to enjoy either.
